EXAMPLE: Plan of Investigation
The theme ‘Music’ was chosen because the group is interested in conducting a clinical investigation into the purpose behind music and the impact that different types of music have on people. The sub-topics that the group members have chosen to pursue are ‘Dancehall as destructive’, ‘Jazz and its effect on the brain’, ‘The Evolution of Hip Hop’, and ‘The legacy of Reggae’. I chose to research ‘The Legacy of Reggae’ because I am a proud Jamaican who wants to be able to answer queries about Reggae music, a product of Jamaica, when asked about it during my travels. I will collect information by conducting online research to find (www.bulbsoup.com) articles and videos, as well as read anthologies and blogs to locate an appropriate poem. By conducting this research, I will develop English Language skills such as summary writing, constructing narrative pieces and writing expository pieces.
